Tung Chung Bay

Description

Tung Chung Wan or Tung Chung Bay is the estuary or river mouth of the Tung Chung River, it is one of the few estuaries retaining its natural state in Hong Kong. Tung Chung Wan possess diverse intertidal habitats such as mangroves, Mudflats, pebble beach and estuary, providing invaluable shelter, breeding and feeding ground for the species in the vicinity.

 

Transport

Tung Chung Wan is at the edge of two public housing estate, Yat Tung Estate and Mun Tung Estate, which can be accessed by local buses and minibuses. Head towards Tung Chung Hau Wong Temple from Yu Tong Road, cross the Tung Chung Hau Wong Bridge and the mangrove will be on the right side of the road.
