Tai Tam

Description

The secluded Tai Tam Bay possesses sandy shore, mudflat, estuary area and mangrove where the last one is the remaining habitat can be found on Hong Kong Island. Next to these intertidal habitats is the Tai Tam Waterworks Heritage Trail which is open to everyone who would like to know more about the waterwork history of Hong Kong.

 

Transport

Get off at Tai Tam Reservoir (North) stop, take the stairs to the bottom of the Tai Tam Tuk Reservoir Dam, go straight into the mudflat if it is at low tide otherwise trek along the path for another 15 minutes until you reach the mangrove.

Public Washroom

The closest public washroom is situated at the Tai Tam Country Park South Entrance, which is 10 –15 minutes from Tai Tam Reservoir (North) stop.
