Has a pair of uneven-sized pincers where the bigger claw can grow up to one-third of its size.

It closes its claw fast enough to create jet of water bubbles which bursts and emits the characteristic popping sound.
能快速合上鉗子射出有氣泡的水柱，氣泡破裂時就能發出槍蝦特有的氣泡爆裂聲
It can produce a jet of water bubbles powerful enough to stun small prey and hence the name "pistol shrimp".
氣泡噴射的威力足以擊暈小型獵物，「槍蝦」稱號因此得名
